Privacy Policy

TradeBlade Technologies LLC · Effective October 7, 2026

This policy states what data is collected, why each kind of data is collected, where the data goes, how long the data is kept, and the choices you have. TradeBlade shows you the same information on a screen before TradeBlade opens for the first time, and no data is sent until you accept that screen.

1. Definitions

The terms below have the meanings given here wherever the terms appear in this policy.

  • "TradeBlade" means the TradeBlade software running on your computer, and the TradeBlade phone app.
  • "We", "us" and "our" mean TradeBlade Technologies LLC.
  • "You" and "your" refer to the holder of the TradeBlade licence.
  • "NinjaTrader" means the NinjaTrader 8 trading platform, inside which TradeBlade runs.
  • "Your Accounts" means the prop-firm accounts and the brokerage account that you select in TradeBlade. Each one is an "Account".
  • "The Record" means the data listed under "What the Record contains, and why". TradeBlade writes the Record on your computer and sends the Record to us.
  • "The Website" means tradebladehq.com.

2. What the Website collects

  • Sign-up form: your email address, the name of your broker (optional), and your language preference. The sign-up form sends nothing else.
  • No cookies, no analytics, no ad trackers. The Website does not set cookies, does not run analytics scripts, and does not embed advertising trackers or social-media trackers.

3. What TradeBlade does, and what happens to the Record

What TradeBlade does. TradeBlade places a trade on your prop-firm Account and an opposite trade on your brokerage Account, and manages the stop and the target of both trades. In Full Automation, TradeBlade also chooses the size of each trade and which Account trades next. To place and manage those trades, TradeBlade reads your Accounts. The Record is the data that TradeBlade reads and the actions that TradeBlade takes.

What happens to the Record. TradeBlade writes the Record on your computer and sends the Record to us. The Record is used to keep TradeBlade working, to investigate problems on your Accounts, and to study how trades placed by TradeBlade perform. The Record is how we support you: if something goes wrong on one of your Accounts, we can see exactly what happened. TradeBlade has no switch that turns the Record off; you can opt out by email (see "Your choices").

4. What the Record contains, and why

  • Every order and every fill on your Accounts. For every order: the price, size, type and state of the order, and every change to the stop price or the target price of the order. For every fill: the price, size, time and commission of the fill. The first time TradeBlade runs, the Record also includes the fills that NinjaTrader already holds for your Accounts from before that time.
Why: The orders and fills are how a trade is rebuilt exactly: which orders were sent, which orders filled, at what price and in what sequence. Rebuilding the trade is the only way to answer a question such as "why did my stop fill at that price?" or "why did the hedge trade close first?". The earlier fills are included so that a problem that began before the Record existed can still be traced, and so that the position of each Account is known from the start.
  • The balance and the margin of your Accounts. For each prop-firm Account and for your brokerage Account: the balance, the realised profit or loss, the open profit or loss, the margin, and any payout.
Why: TradeBlade uses the balance and the margin of your Accounts to make three decisions. First, before every entry, TradeBlade checks that your brokerage Account holds enough money for the hedge trade, and TradeBlade blocks the entry if your brokerage Account does not. Second, in Full Automation, TradeBlade sets the size, the target and the stop of each trade from the distance between the balance of the prop-firm Account and that Account's profit target and loss limit. Third, TradeBlade works out the commission you actually paid from the amount by which the balance moved, because most brokers do not report the commission on each fill. To check that any of these three decisions was correct, the figures that TradeBlade used for the decision are needed.
  • The account numbers of your Accounts. The account numbers are kept in a list that is separate from the rest of the Record and is tied to your licence. In the rest of the Record, each account number is replaced by a code.
Why: The list exists so that, when you write to us about a particular Account, that Account can be found in the Record. The list is kept separate so that a person studying trades in bulk sees codes and does not see account numbers.
  • The actions and the state of TradeBlade. Every trade card, every command given to TradeBlade and the answer TradeBlade gave to that command, every margin check TradeBlade makes together with the sums in that margin check, and the current state of TradeBlade every few seconds.
Why: A fill shows what happened. This part of the Record shows the reason behind each action TradeBlade took: which rule moved a stop, why TradeBlade refused an entry, and what TradeBlade was waiting for. Without this part of the Record, the result of a problem could be seen, but the cause of the problem could not.
  • Your actions in the Command Center and in the phone app. Each button you press and each setting you change, and the time you took the action.
Why: Your actions are recorded so that an action you took can be told apart from an action TradeBlade took. Most questions of the kind "TradeBlade closed my trade" are settled by whether a button was pressed, on the computer or on the phone, and at what time. Your actions also show which features of TradeBlade are used and which features are not used.
  • Market prices. The market prices of the instruments that TradeBlade trades for you, as your computer received those prices, from two minutes before each trade until two minutes after each trade.
Why: A fill can only be judged against the market at the moment of the fill: whether the price was available, how wide the spread was, and how late the price reached your computer. A slow price feed on one computer looks like bad fills until the prices are placed next to the fills.
  • Log files, in full, every day. TradeBlade's own log files, and NinjaTrader's log files and trace files. NinjaTrader's log files and trace files cover everything NinjaTrader did that day, including accounts and orders that have no connection with TradeBlade. Before the log files and trace files are sent, each account number that TradeBlade recognises in those files is replaced by a code, and your Windows user name and the name of your computer are removed.
Why: NinjaTrader's log files and trace files hold information that TradeBlade cannot obtain in any other way: dropped connections, the broker's own wording when the broker rejects an order, and the exact time at which NinjaTrader sent or received each order. NinjaTrader writes one log file for everything NinjaTrader did that day, so accounts and orders that have no connection with TradeBlade are in that log file. The whole log file is taken because the cause of what happened to a trade placed by TradeBlade is often outside TradeBlade: for example, an order placed by hand on a chart, or another strategy trading the same Account. We read the parts of the log files and trace files that have no connection with TradeBlade only to explain what happened to trades placed by TradeBlade.
  • Your TradeBlade settings. The number of contracts, the hedge size, the entry mode, the loss limits and the trading window.
Why: The same trade behaves differently under different settings. To reproduce a problem, the settings that were in force when the problem happened are needed.
  • Program health. The versions of TradeBlade, Windows and NinjaTrader, memory use, connection status, warnings, errors and crash reports.
Why: Program health information is used to find crashes and slowdowns, often before you report the crash or slowdown, and to know which versions of TradeBlade, Windows and NinjaTrader are affected.
  • Your licence key and a machine ID. The machine ID is a code made from the hardware of your computer. The machine ID is not the name of your computer.
Why: The licence key shows that the Record comes from a valid licence. The machine ID shows which computer the Record came from, if you run TradeBlade on more than one computer.

The Record is linked to your licence, and therefore to the email address you used to obtain your licence.

5. What is never sent

  • Your broker logins and passwords, and your prop-firm logins and passwords. TradeBlade never has access to your logins or your passwords.
  • Your name, your Windows user name, and the name of your computer. TradeBlade does not collect your name. TradeBlade removes your Windows user name and the name of your computer from the Record before the Record is sent.
  • Any file on your computer other than TradeBlade's own files and NinjaTrader's log files and trace files.

We have no access to your funds. TradeBlade sends trade instructions through NinjaTrader only; deposits, withdrawals and custody remain entirely with your broker. Payments for TradeBlade are processed by Stripe; your card data goes to Stripe and does not come to us.

6. Log files you send on request

If you ask us for help, we may also request specific log files from you. TradeBlade shows you which log files are requested and the time period requested, and TradeBlade sends the requested log files only if you press Allow for that request. The requested log files are sent unaltered, and the requested log files may therefore contain your account numbers and your Windows user name.

7. How the data is used, and how the data is never used

  • The Record is used to find and fix problems, to investigate what happened on your Accounts when you ask, and to understand how TradeBlade is used and how trades placed by TradeBlade perform across all users of TradeBlade.
  • We never sell the Record, and we never share the Record. If TradeBlade is sold or merged, the Record would pass to the new owner under the terms stated here.
  • We never use the Record to trade, to copy your trades, or to trade against you.
  • Only TradeBlade Technologies LLC, and persons working for TradeBlade Technologies LLC who need the Record in order to support TradeBlade, can see the Record. The Record is stored with our hosting provider, Cloudflare.
  • When TradeBlade connects to our servers, our servers see your internet (IP) address, as the servers of every internet service do. Your IP address is not saved with the Record.
  • Licence data is used to issue licences and to check licences.
  • The email address you gave on the sign-up form is used to send you the materials you requested and updates about TradeBlade. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link.

8. Where the data goes (processors)

  • Cloudflare hosts our services and stores licence data, the Record, and log files on Cloudflare's global network. The data may be processed outside your country.
  • Kit (email platform) stores the sign-up list and sends our emails.
  • Stripe processes payments.

9. How long the data is kept

  • The Record: until you ask us to delete the Record.
  • The current-state report (the state of TradeBlade, sent every few seconds): only the most recent current-state report is kept; each new current-state report replaces the previous one.
  • Crash reports, and log files you sent on request: 90 days.
  • A daily summary (counts and totals for each day), a running total and the last balance of each prop-firm Account, and payouts: 2 years.
  • On your computer: TradeBlade keeps a local copy of the Record for 60 days, in the folder named "Record" inside the TradeBlade folder.
  • Sign-up list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your entry.
  • Licence records: for the life of the licence, plus any period required by law.

10. The phone app

If you turn on the phone app, the messages between your computer and your phone are encrypted from end to end; we cannot read those messages in transit. An action you take in the phone app is recorded by your computer in the same way as a button pressed on your computer, and that action is part of the Record.

11. Your choices and your rights

  • Delete my data. Send an email to support@tradebladehq.com from the email address tied to your licence, and we will delete the Record and all other data we hold for your licence.
  • Opt out. Send an email to support@tradebladehq.com from the email address tied to your licence, and we will set your licence so that TradeBlade sends only program health information and crash reports. Your computer then keeps the Record and does not send the Record to us. After you opt out, we cannot investigate a problem on your Accounts unless you send us your log files yourself.
  • Decline. If you do not agree, press Exit on the screen that TradeBlade shows before TradeBlade first opens. TradeBlade will not open, and no part of the Record is sent.

Send an email to support@tradebladehq.com from the email address tied to your licence or to your sign-up, and within 30 days we will do whichever of the following you ask: tell you what data we hold about you, export that data to you, correct that data, or delete that data. If you are in the EU or the UK, these actions correspond to your GDPR rights of access, portability, rectification, erasure and objection; you may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. If you are a California resident, note that we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA.

12. How the data is protected

The Record is sent over an encrypted connection, and each part of the Record is signed with your licence. Cloudflare stores the Record in encrypted form. Access to the Record requires a separate login and a separate key. After you ask us to delete the Record, copies of the Record can remain in Cloudflare's automatic backups for up to 30 days. No system is perfectly secure, but the attack surface of our systems is deliberately small.

13. Age

TradeBlade is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use TradeBlade.

14. Changes

If the contents of the Record change, TradeBlade shows you the new text and asks you to accept the new text before TradeBlade sends any data under the new terms. We also post the new version of this policy on this page with a new effective date.
